Coffret D’Or’s BB cream is called Fast Beauty Foundation UV BB SPF33 PA++, 2625JPY or USD34, and I had been eyeing this since Miso Jenny had a rave review on this way back last year on one of her videos. I can’t find the video and spotted that she included this item on her blog sale not too long ago. Oh dear, that doesn’t bode well for this product, does it?
When I first started using this product, I loved the dewy effect it gave my skin. I used this a lot in autumn when the air was still fairly humid and it kept my skin in check in terms of oil control. The colour match is a dead ringer for my skin tone — I use 03 and I’m an NC25.
Be warned it’s not incredibly long lasting as my face did look a little patchy after a 12 hour day but I think that’s normal with other base makeup, considering my skin is quite oily by the end of the day, even after blotting once or twice.
I brought this to Singapore at the end of December as it was one of my favourite BB creams but it really did not hold up in the extreme heat and humidity. I felt like it was slipping off my face with just a few hour’s of wear which surprised me because alcohol is the fifth ingredient in this product.
Some people might be put off by the visible shimmer when you squeeze some product out but it doesn’t appear as specks of glitter on the skin and in fact departs a fresh dewy glow.
For the price, I don’t think it’s that great because I think Missha BB creams have a similar price point but they perform much better in terms of dewiness and longevity. I think this is an overall good BB cream and I would continue using it, but I would not re-purchase this. If you are a crazy BB cream collector, you might want to try this, but if you are conscious about how much you spend on base makeup, you might want to give this a pass as there are cheaper and better Japanese BB creams out there.
I know you BB cream lovers like to read reviews so here is a flashback of the BB cream reviews I have done:
Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream SPF25PA++
