Top 12 Most Popular Posts In 2012

Drumroll please….Presenting the top 12 posts of 2012 on the Beauty Box blog. These were all written in 2012 though granted that older posts do get more clicks overtime but I think the top 12 pages are still fairly good indication of what got more attention. Some were a surprise and some garnered many comments from you guys, my wonderful readers. If you are a newbie to this blog, this is a great place to start.

#1 Kate BB Gel Cream Review was the most clicked on post of 2012. It just shows that many people love this product as much as I do!

#2 Hada Labo Whitening BB Cream Review + FOTD features another beloved BB cream that I always reach for if I need a long-lasting but natural looking finish.

#3 Review: Japanese Drugstore Suncreens Shiseido, Biore, Curel, Hada Labo was a review of Japanese sunscreens I’d tried in the summer.

#4 La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo & Effaclar K: Which Is Better? is a comparison of two acne treatments that prevent pores from clogging up. I was so surprised that this simple review post got so many hits but La Roche Posay is indeed a popular brand.

#5 Japanese Drugstore Hunt 2000JPY & Below: Eyebrow Powder has the highest number of hits in my Japanese Drugstore Hunt 2000JPY & Below series — it wasn’t the oldest post either. It mentions three brands that have solid products in this category.

#6 Japanese Drugstore Hunt 2000JPY & Below: Pressed Powder proves you can find good quality pressed powder at affordable prices. I mention only a few brands here, but seriously, there are so many you can choose from at the Japanese drugstore.

#7 How Often Do You Wash Your Hair? gave birth to a lively debate from such a simple question. It’s amazing how varied our opinions are on one of the most ordinary beauty routines in our lives. The comments section is awesome on this topic so do check it out.

#8 Updated Skincare Routine Spring 2012: Face is great for those who have sensitive, dehydrated, acne prone skin if you need some ideas on how to tweak your own routine.

# 9 Steam Cream Review was a writeup about one of the classics in the Japanese skincare scene. At 1500JPY a pop, Steam Cream is something most people love because of the scent, texture, and the limited edition containers.

#10 Finally Caved Into Buying Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage was more about finding a solution in a desperate situation than a review. But I still think this product is a lifesaver when it comes to monstrous zits!

#11 Majolica Majorca LE Blood On & Lash King is a review post on one of the most sought after MM products this year. There was quite a buzz in the interwebs on this one with quite polarizing reviews…

#12 Review: Japanese Sunscreens Sunplay, Sofina, Biore, Nivea
was my second sunscreen post last summer and it goes to show how much Japanese sunscreens are in demand outside of Japan as well.

  1. Thanks for your kind comment! I was struggling to keep up with work and blogging these days so it is one of my new year resolutions for 2013 to blog more! LOL it doesn’t help when my computer and camera are also acting up. Anyways, I love your drugstore makeup hunt posts, and the post on LRP Effacular Duo – in fact it’s on my list for sometime already (bad skin kicks in) and wanted to try it soon. Thanks for your comparison ;D

happy new year to you in advance!

  2. The KATE BB Gel Cream is my top favorite Bb cream so far. :)

  3. Hi Jenni, thanks for coming over to say hi :) Looking forward to reading your blog in the new year. Do try the Effaclar Duo and let me know how it works for you.

  4. @Barbra J: I’m using my OC-D one now because I got darker pretty much as soon as I stepped onto the land of OZ. Loving it!

  5. I’m loving the Kate BB Gel Cream too–thanks to you! I am planning out my 2013 All Stars list and this BB cream is definitely on that list!

  6. @Kat: Glad you love Kate BB Gel Cream too. Can’t wait for your all stars list!

  7. I finally tried steam cream, and it’s love hate. nice product but i would kill for it to be fragrance-free. some products are fantastic but the scent is such a downer for me

  8. @kimby: yeah the lavender scent is surprisingly strong for a natural product.
